The mercury topped 28 degrees on Sunday afternoon, but with wind gusts it still only felt like 20 degrees according to weatherzone.com.au, while Saturday reached a top of 20.
Monday will still be a pleasant 24 degrees, but will sink back to the teens for the rest of the week as Tuesday through to Friday are forecast for 14, 15, 17 and 15 degrees respectively.
Farmers' hopes for a final burst of rain before the onslaught of summer will have to wait yet another week, with Friday the only day this week likely to provide rain - an 80 per cent chance of one to five millimetres.
