Eileen Ford has called for action from Orange City Council to repair, or resurface, the potholes in Scott Place in the Leewood estate.
Mrs Ford said she couldn't believe the condition of the road after visiting a car paint and repair shop there.
"I'm nearly 80. I've never anything seen anything like it," she said.
"I've never seen potholes as big as this in my entire lifetime and I've been driving for a long time."
Mrs Ford said workers in the area had reported the condition of the road, and some nearby, to Orange City Council but they were still waiting for them to be fixed.
"You've got to weave in and out of the place," she said.
I've never seen potholes as bad as this in my entire lifetime and I've been driving for a long time.

"It's all up around that area.
"I'll need an alignment on my car after hitting a pothole. There's more potholes than roads."
She said she wanted to take the bill for the wheel alignment to council to seek compensation.
Mrs Ford said the council needed to act before the road got worse.
"They can't blame the rain because we haven't had any," she said.

"They need to fix them.
"Whatever they are putting in the potholes, it's not working."
Orange City Council has a Report It page on its website where people can record potholes and ask council to fix them.
Mrs Ford said she had not reported this one to council as she had been told it had already been reported by other people.
The Report It page allows residents to report the size and location of potholes and include a photo to explain their concerns.
The same Report It page is also available for residents to lodge complaints about damaged footpaths, barking dogs, faulty street lights, bins and waste and leaking pipes.
A survey by the NRMA earlier this year found Cargo Road was voted the worst road in the Orange region.
Other roads around Orange to make the Rate Your Road survey list included the Northern Distributor Road, the Mitchell Highway and Cadia Road.
Orange roads received 149 votes from NRMA members, compared to 108 in Bathurst and 104 in the Mid-Western council area.
