The 29-year-old man, who is not named to protect the victim, appeared in court via audio visual link.

According to police, the man's ex-girlfriend received at least 150 messages and calls between 9am on May 14, 2019 and 11.16am on May 15, 2019.

From 12.36am some of the calls were only minutes apart and his text messages included, "I'm at your house", threats that he'd take her pets if she didn't answer, and that he'd tell certain people where she lived.

He also sent messages with emojis of knives, fire and a house, which she found intimidating.

Police attended her home on April 15 and about 9.30am the next day the man went to her house.

Police returned about 11am and while speaking to the woman they saw her mobile constantly receiving messages and incoming calls from the man.

"This is him, the phone doesn't stop, he keeps going, he changes the name and pretends to be someone else or just uses a private number," the woman said.

"I'm afraid to go out, I'm afraid to go to work, I'm afraid to sleep."

The man contravened the order again on May 17 when police found him in the woman's house when she returned from work.

Mr Day gave the man a seven-month Intensive Correction Order, which is a community-based custodial sentence, for intimidating the women on May 14.

He also gave him a 12-month Community Correction Order, with supervision, rehabilitation and that he abstain from drugs, for each of the three AVO contraventions.
