A development application for the store to take up two adjoining shops, numbers 31 and 32, has been lodged with Orange City Council.
The Orange store will be the company's first NSW store west of the Blue Mountains.
Adairs CEO Mark Ronan said they were "delighted" to be coming to Orange to add to their 160 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
"We have been searching for an appropriate store location in Orange and believe the development of the old Myer space provided us with a good opportunity," he said.
"We have received a lot of enquiries to open a store in Orange and felt the timing was now right to do so and provide our many customers [with] a local place to shop."
Mr Ronan said the store was set to open in November.
It is the latest of several stores and eateries to be confirmed for the long-awaited redevelopment of the historic Summer Street site including clothing retailers Bonds, Sportscraft and Sportsgirl.
