Team 1 Keegan beat Team 3 Chapman with wins for Jesse Keegan, Scott Baker, Chris Elkington, Robyn Chapman, Brendan Stuart and Catherine White.
Morgan Mahlo showed the advantage of youth hanging on to beat Mick Keegan in a cracking five games while Brett Mahlo went all in at 2-all, 14-all in the decider, calling a short game which meant next point wins.
Brett slammed the return for a winner leaving the crowd in raptures.
Team 2 Howarth beat Team 6 Elliot with wins for Steve Elliot, Mark James, Darren Wooding, Dave Neil, Scott Shepherd, Kym Knight, Luke Tester and Tom Belmonte.
Charles D'Aquino could not beat a lame Tim Howarth while club pest Grant Michell snatched defeat from the jaws of victory holding two match points against an agitated Glenn Atkinson before letting them slip and then getting severely pummelled in the decider, leaving Grant to mope like someone who had just lost their last dollar.
Team 5 Collett beat Team 4 Showels with wins for George Eleftheriou, Steve Bigg, Frank Cavalli, Jarrod Collett, Craig Hausler, Matt Showels and Brock Gannon.
James Cole stormed back from two games down to beat an exuberant Sonya Fitzgerald.
John Hannan had beaten Belinda Bunting on 14 occasions previous so its fair to say John went into the match fairly confident but what ensued was chaos. Belinda ran every ball down and blazed winners like she was possessed.
The result was 3-nil, leaving John in a state of shock.
