A solicitor who represented a woman for stealing a vibrator and a lingerie dress from a sex shop said his client "wandered in intoxicated".

Solicitor Simeon Miller said Kelly Hogan, 50, formerly of Maxwell Avenue, had been offending for the past 37 years but was now addressing her issues including alcohol addiction.
Hogan was was in custody at Silverwater Correctional Complex, where she's serving a sentence for a different offence, when she appeared in Orange Local Court via video link for stealing the two items, which were worth $249.98.

According to police, Hogan and a friend went into the shop on March 5 and while the friend talked to an employee Hogan put the two items in her handbag before collecting other items, which she paid for.
The theft was discovered in CCTV footage and it was reported to police and store workers were also given Hogan's name after posting an image of her on social media.
Police attended an address at Maxwell Avenue and spoke to her about the theft and she admitted to stealing the vibrator but denied taking other items.
After police left she went to the store and attempted to the return the items.
The items were not resold for hygiene reasons, although they were still in their packaging.
Hogan is to spend 12-months on conditional liberty as part of a community-based custodial sentence after magistrate David Day gave her a 12-month supervised intensive correction order and 100 hours of community service.
"She's got an appalling record for stealing stuff, getting drunk, going for a drive around and robbery, just trouble," Mr Day said.
"She has a bad record, it's recidivism of the worst kind.
"I would state that there's deep-seated underlying problems but not everyone who has deep-seated underlying problems goes out and commits crimes."
As part of her order Hogan is to take part in rehabilitation and treatment, abstain from alcohol and repay the store $249.98.
Mr Miller said the money had already been paid.
