A range of activities will be on offer at TAFE NSW Orange this Saturday including demonstrations, course area displays and unprecedented access to teachers, tours, art displays, live music, children's entertainment, a free barbecue lunch and free coffee for the first 50 customers.
The minister for skills and tertiary education Geoff Lee said the NSW government's fee-free apprenticeships and funded courses meant it was a good time to look at a tertiary course.
"There are more than half a million new jobs in the pipeline right now that require doing, not just knowing," Mr Lee said.
Courses for nine of the 10 most in-demand jobs are already being delivered by TAFE NSW.
"With courses and bachelor degrees in areas such as cyber security and drone technology, and information technology, choosing TAFE NSW is an obvious choice for people looking to secure their first job, win a promotion or embark on a career change," Mr Lee said.
