He's played just about every position on the paddock throughout the Dragons' charge to the 2019 Group 10 grand final, with aplomb too.
Captain-coach Jack Littlejohn hasn't hesitated to throw Brown a new challenge on an almost weekly basis.
But on Sunday Brown will be handed the biggest challenge of his career to date.
GROUP 10 GRAND FINAL TEAM LISTS: All the sides for all five deciders at Carrington Park on Sunday
The Canowindra boy will line-up at fullback for Mudgee at Carrington Park, the Dragons taking on defending Group 10 premier league champions Bathurst Panthers in Sunday's big dance.
Brown has deputised for injured pair Corin Smith and Tom Lawson at the back for Mudgee since the Dragons' hard-fought win over Lithgow in the minor semi-final.
Brown revealed Smith was still a "smokey" to play in Sunday's grand final at Bathurst but said he would be lining up at fullback regardless of whether or not the Dragons' livewire is fit to play.
And he's chomping at the bit to get out there on Sunday.
"I've been playing everywhere, but didn't expect to be playing in a grand final. It's going to be hard and it's going to be fast," Brown said, Panthers defeating Mudgee three times so far this season.
Panthers won 14-10 at Mudgee while the men in black chalked up 23-20 and 40-18 victories in the two sides' clashes at Carrington Park this year, the latter a comprehensive qualifying semi-final showing from the champions.
All three games were fiery contests, too.
When I first came here I knew I wouldn't be playing in the halves, not with Jack (Littlejohn) and Timmy (Condon) here too ... I was just happy to play anywhere.

"I'm not to sure what that's all about ... I think a few of the older boys in the team don't like them," Brown laughed.
"We played them in the round games and they've only just gotten us both times.
"Jack (Littlejohn) has said for me to just go and play my own game. See what's in front of me and play to that.. He just said to play natural game."
Which, anyone from Canowindra can attest to, is good enough to seriously put Panthers to the test.
Brown won back-to-back Alex Armstrong medals in 2017-18 as the Woodbridge Cup's player of the year and the ex-Tigers halfback was regarded as one of the Cup's best players.
The 23-year-old made the switch to Group 10 looking for a change, although the lure of joining Parkes in Group 11 was also tempting.
"The transition has been great," the former half or five-eighth said.
"When I first came here I knew I wouldn't be playing in the halves, not with Jack (Littlejohn) and Timmy (Condon) here too.
"I was just happy to play anywhere. As a kid growing up I played a bit of fullback and as got older played in the halves."
Brown's lone premiership success so far has been a Woodbridge Cup youth league triumph with Canowindra in 2014, the Tigers knocking off Eugowra 18-14.
He's hoping, come Sunday, he'll be able to add a Group 10 premiership to his collection.
Sunday's premier league decider is scheduled to kick-off at 3pm.
