The two sides could barely be separated in finishing first and second, respectively, during the regular season and that went to another level in the decider as they fought tooth-and-nail but couldn't be split.
The Gold side led 10-4 at the half-time break before the Green outfit drew level in the second half and sending the game to extra time. Neither side was able to score though, forcing an incredible draw and allowing both sides to hoist the shield in a landmark result.

"I'm sure there was a lot of the kids that would have loved to win it outright but I think they all saw the bigger picture as well, from a club perspective you couldn't ask for more really, a joint premiership," CYMS president Chris Collins said.
"It was a really back-and-forth game and as the result suggests a very even one, it was a really great game of footy really and all the kids were really impressive."
Collins reserved particular praise for young Keeley Holmes, who along with Pele Lapuaho now ages out and is unable to continue playing mixed contact rugby league.
"Young Keeley (Holmes) was incredible. It was her last game because she's not able to play in the tackle stuff with the boys after this year, and I don't think I've seen anyone tackle as hard as she did," he said.
"I believe she'll play with the Vipers in the girls' tackle competition and then go across to rugby union, they can play contact football a bit longer, but it was great to see her finish with a win."
CYMS' under-16 side also made the grand final and looked set for premiership glory early in the game, they led Lithgow at half-time, but "fell away in the second half" as the Storm took advantage of a big wind in the second half, eventually winning 22-12.
"They played really well and were right in it until the end, they fell away in the second half after an injury or two but they've still had a great year. It was a great season for the club in general, we had (almost 400) players and it looks like next year will be even bigger," Collins said.
Bloomfield also enjoyed huge success in Saturday's grand finals, picking up titles in both the grand finals the club contested.
The Tigers' young under-11 outfit edged out Mudgee 24-22 in a thrilling title bout while the club's under-14 side completed their stunning 2019 campaign with an emphatic victory over Mudgee.
The under-14 Tigers were far away the best side in winning the minor premiership, scoring a whopping 462 points along the way and conceding just 82 before downing the Dragons 24-12 in the major semi-final.
They handed Mudgee another defeat in the decider, this time keeping the Dragons scoreless and winning 26-nil to complete their incredible undefeated season.
In the other grand final results Bathurst St Pat's defeated Mudgee 16-12 in extra time in the under 13s and Cowra took down Bathurst Panthers 14-12 in a thrilling under-15 decider.
