Despite the first try going the Bears' way through Louis Nixon, it was the Saints' day as they stormed to a 30-12 victory.
Jack O'Neill was phenomenal in hooker, crossing for a try but also controlling everything for the Panthers and setting up the win, which was recognised by coach Kevin Grimshaw.
"Jack O'Neill was absolutely outstanding today in the middle of the ruck, running through the ball, tackling," he said.
"All our forwards played really well, [Blayney] have a good pack of forwards."
Josh Hanrahan was one of those, going over for two tries after being winded early and was excellent, and Grimshaw said he was "very happy" to be in the decider.
"We started in January and it all finishes next week, all the hard work pays dividends. Even though the job's not done yet, we're there to give it a good crack," he said.
They went well, Blayney, we knew we had to be on our game and our discipline during the game was pretty good aside from those last couple of minutes."
Bears skipper Liam Henry paid Kudos to Panthers, saying "at the end of the day they were the better team".
However, he said the side had had a fantastic year, and the loss took nothing away from the success the club found in the under-18s competition.
