The previously undefeated two blues girls were knocked off 20-10 by rivals Orange CYMS in last week's major semi-final but following a commanding 46-6 demolition of Mudgee in the preliminary final earned another crack at the green and golds next week.
Hawks' big guns stepped up with a grand final spot on the line, Lilly Baker crossing for three tries while both Courtney Morgan-Jones and Jes Pearson bagged braces, the latter completing her's with a stunning 95-metre solo effort at Wade Park.
"She does a few of them. I don't know how another coach could defend it. She's pretty good in space, as are a few of our girls," Hawks coach Steve Pearson said at full-time.
"We're very happy, it's the second year for the girls. It's an easy job coaching."
Hawks raced out to an 8-0 lead on the back of two tries from Baker and looked like blowing Mudgee off the park early.
But the Dragons girls hit back with a four-pointer of their own to Grace Quinn to bring the score to 8-4 in what was a frenetic opening to the match.
It was all one-way traffic from there though, Hawks putting their foot to the floor to race to a 30-4 half-time lead before consolidating with three further second-half tries.
Hawks ran away with it in the end but I couldn't be prouder.
