The Roos are one of the toughest teams in the competition, and with that side having won straight through to the grand final - refreshed after a week off - they're roaring to go.

Can the Lions stop them?

Absolutely, according to coach John Nunn.

"They've done all the hard work, we'll go through our skills and processes at training and it's just got to be there on game day," the Lions' mentor said.

"Our defence needs to be on, it's a tough grind in both forward packs and both teams throw it around a lot and whoever can hold on the ball the most will win."

He said the side's win last week was a gritty one, and showed his outfit was gelling at the right time of the season, and with the first full squad to pick from all season the sky's the limit for what the Lions can achieve on Saturday.

"Some weeks we've only had three reserves and had to try blokes in different positions," Nunn said.

"They're pretty excited, they've worked very hard to get here and there's a good buzz around the club.

"The home ground advantage is massive, there's going to be a lot of club support, it should be a good crowd.

"The club's spirit in juniors is massive, the buzz and the feel is good and I'm very proud of the boys who've worked their guts off all year to get here."

Orange City's under-17s grand final against Dubbo Roos begins at 12 noon on Saturday.
