Cadia will donate $150,000 over three years to keep the Canobolas Clontarf Academy running in an effort to keep the program's 130 students stay in school.

The academy room acts as a home base for students before and after school, at recess and lunch, featuring cooking and washing facilities, computers and entertainment equipment.

Cadia general manager Peter Sharpe said the partnership would provide lasting benefits to the students, including meaningful pathways to future opportunities in the mining industry.

"We look forward to working with them to provide every opportunity for success in their life," he said.

Clontarf Foundation CEO, Gerard Neesham, said the partnership was key to the program's long-term success.

"The ongoing sustainability of our foundation is going to be in our ability to source localised private sector funding," he said.
