Lithgow kept its 2019 premier league campaign alive following an incredible comeback against Cowra in the elimination semi-final at Tony Luchetti Sportsground, storming home from 18-0 down to win 24-22.

The 2012 premiership-winning coach said Workies will make the trek north to Glen Willow with an air of confidence as they aim to reverse a 16-12 final round result against the Dragons.

"I think we were unlucky the other week against Mudgee so if we take what we finished off with (on Sunday against Cowra) and play it up in Mudgee next week then I am pretty confident," Osborne said on Sunday.

Down 18-0 just before the break as Cowra stormed to a commanding, early lead, Graeme Osborne's men scored either side of half-time to reduce the margin to six.

Magpies goal-kicker Caley Mok booted two penalty goals in the 48^th and 56^th minutes to kick the visitors lead out to 22-12, but the home side wasn't done yet.

Kyle Willmott crossed 10 minutes from time before Josh Howarth scored in the 76^th minute, kicking both conversions, to give Lithgow a 24-22 lead.

Workies held on at the death to secure victory and send Cowra packing in 2019.

Lithgow will now take on arch rivals Mudgee in next Sunday's minor semi-final at Glen Willow after the Dragons lost their qualifying semi-final against Panthers.

The defending premiers accounted for the Dragons 40-18 at Carrington Park to book their place in Saturday's major semi-final at Wade Park.
