Stockinbingal won three consecutive titles in 1968-1969-1970 before ultimately folding in the 1970s and no side in the Cup's competition has enjoyed sustained success since.
Trundle won a fourth straight minor premiership this year and, after back-to-back major crowns in 2017 and 2018 will be looking to emulate that feat from almost 50 years ago this finals series.
The Boomers take on Manildra on Sunday's major semi-final at Condobolin, with the winner earning passage through to this year's grand final, which will be at Trundle.

- Rhinos skipper Simon Osborne.
Manildra returned to form last week with a commanding qualifying semi-final victory over Molong and Rhinos coach Simon Osborne says, although easier said than done, shutting down Trundle's kickers will be key to ensuring the red and whites book their place in the decider first.
"Trundle have been really good again this year but I think if we can lock down Adam Hall a bit and try to take his kicking game out of it, that will go a long way to getting us over the line," Osborne said.
"Once their kicking game is out of it I do think they struggle a little bit so pressure on there, then from our perspective we'll need to kick well too and our chase will be important as well.
"And just holding the ball, maintaining possession. We saw [last Sunday] if you hold the ball for long periods you tend to win."
Molong plays the Goannas in the elimination semi-final at Grenfell on Saturday.
