Students donned their best Harry Potter, Cat In The Hat and super hero disguises for the love of the written word.
Each year across Australia, the Children's Book Council of Australia brings children and books together to celebrate CBCA Book Week from 17-23 August.
During this time schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children celebrate Australian children's literature, which often includes children's book character parades and talented librarians creating amazing displays.
Orange City Library staff have celebrated all week by dressing up and giving away book prizes during Storytime.
This year's CBCA Book Week theme is Reading Is My Superpower.
The CBCA also awards some of Australia's most creative people and provide a boost to their capacity to devote time to their craft through the CBCA Book of the Year Awards.
The Awards are announced each year on the third Friday in August.
