The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service recommends country travel in a number of locations, including Orange, be postponed until conditions improve.
The severe weather warning for damaging winds has been issued for the Central Tablelands and parts of the Central West Slopes and Plains.

The damaging winds are expected to average between 60 and 70 kilometres an hour with peak gusts in excess of 90 kilomeres an hour are expected in the eastern parts of the Central Tablelands on Wednesday.

Dangerous conditions caused by ice and snow means Mount Canobolas will remain closed to vehicles on Wednesday.
No vehicles can access the mountain past the Mountain Tea House and the gate at the top of Old Canobolas Road.
Cabonne Council staff will continue to inspect the roads to determine when they can be reopened.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Keep at least eight metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
- Report fallen power lines to either Ausgrid (131 388), Endeavour Energy (131 003), Essential Energy (132 080) or Evoenergy (131 093) as shown on your power bill.
- For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 132 500.
