Following in the footsteps of multi-talented sports stars such as Ellyse Perry and Erin Phillips and Ash Barty, the cricketing gun was announced as part of the 2019 SSA All Australian Girls Hockey Team for girls aged 16 year old or younger.
The 16-year-old will travel alongside 17 others in that side to South Africa in June and July 2020.
Litchfield has made a name as one of the country's best young batters in the cricketing arena, but has also a long history on hockey pitches.
She's following in the footsteps of CYMS gun Pip Mannix, who travelled to Europe this year with the same squad. Mannix has been instrumental for CYMS in season 2019 and been a major part of the side's ascent to the top of the Premier League Hockey table.
