A statement from Cabonne Council said they were also monitoring the possibility of more snow falls this week.
"Access to the mountain remains closed at the Mountain Tea House and the gate at the top of Old Canobolas Road," it said.
"Fallen trees are blocking the road in several locations and will have to be cleared before council staff can access the snow and ice conditions near the summit."
The Bureau of Meteorology had predicted Mount Canobolas could receive more snow on Monday with falls possible as low as 700 metres above sea level.
