Visitors joined locals as they heading to Mount Canobolas to enjoy the winter wonderland created by last weekend's big snow falls.
Sadly the road to the top of the mountain remains closed for many days making car trips to the top impossible however the closures weren't enough to deter snow lovers.
Big groups of people stepped out of their cars to head up the mountain to enjoy the sights with some building snowmen and others snowboarding and having snowball fights.
So rather than pretending the snow tourists won't come, wouldn't it be better to embrace them and even encourage them?
Maybe on occasions like these, Cabonne and Orange councils should work together to make the most out of the boost in tourism numbers and actually cater to their needs?
Wouldn't snow visitors jump at the chance to take part in a children's snowman building competition?
Wouldn't visitors relish the opportunity to enjoy a snow cone?
As Orange360 general manager Caddie Marshall said we were 'lucky' to be in a snowfall area and it's important to promote it.
Maybe it's time Cabonne and Orange councils worked together to do exactly that.
