Mount Canobolas remained blanketed in white as the full, stunning extent of the weekend's chilly winter weather was revealed in all its glory.
Roads around Orange remained closed on Monday following the weekend's snowfall, while the Great Western Highway maintained its 60 kilometre-an-hour speed limit between Bathurst and Lithgow as the region continued to deal with the after effects of widespread snow fall.
Nearly 30 millimetres of precipitation was recorded in Orange over the weekend, much of which fell as snow, and that number will continue to rise as the snow melts.
Old Canobolas Road and Pinnacle Road, to Wallace Road, remained closed on Monday night as snow and ice continues to prevent access to Mount Canobolas.
Cabonne Council staff will inspect all closed roads on Tuesday morning to determine when they can be reopened.
