The Orange High School product, who's been showered in selections for various NSW hockey and softball sides over the years, and was recently named the Young Sportsperson of the Year in the Orange sports awards, beating a bumper crop.
Reith-Snare was named in the Hockey Australia women's national junior squad last Friday and the Confederates gun, one of 28 youngsters selected in the squad, said she was "absolutely stoked" to get the nod.
"I was not expecting it whatsoever," she said.

However, she's nearly three years younger than some of her teammates selected in the squad, with the 17-year-old,who turns 18 in October, again punching way outside her weight class - or in this instance age class.
The squad is an under-21s development group designed to fast-track juniors into the national set-up, but Reith-Snare isn't fussed by being the youngster of the group, which was selected after the Hockey Australia Under-21 Nationals.
"I haven't thought about it being 17, I just want to get my HSC out of the road and see what happens after that," she said.
Reith-Snare was selected in the NSW side for nationals, and while she said she thought she played "pretty well", she was still blindsided by national recognition.
"It was a different experience being in a state team like that, especially being so young with some of the girls who've been in it for a few years," she said.
It's a selection which has put Reith-Snare firmly on track for a future in the sport, she says largely thanks to work from her parents, Rachael Crawford and Kate Pullbrook.
"Knowing that I've been nationally identified now so I've just got to keep working hard and see how far I get. Playing for Australia will definitely be my goal, I'm in the NSW Insititute to train with them five days a week so I'm not sure if I'll be moving there yet," she said.
