Orange's Tim Leahey and co-driver Beric Lynton overcame their historical Queensland Raceway MRF Tyres APC Sunday bad luck last weekend, following up their Fight in the Night victory on Saturday with a win in Sunday's 300-kilometre race as well.

Leahey and Lynton have now won four of the last five Fight in the Night races together at Queensland Raceway, however in the past the pair have failed to convert that into further success on Sunday.
That changed on Sunday.
In their Bridgestone Select Southport BMW M3 the duo dominated from go-to-woah and held off a challenge from Grant and Ian Sherrin's Sherrin Racing BMW M4.

"I have won on Sunday but Tim hadn't and it has been a sticking point all weekend for him, I have been rubbing it in that we needed to do the double header with him here," Lynton said after the win.
"When it became a two-driver race in 2016 he has been coming up and we have been doing it and having success on the night time but not on Sunday so it is great to do two wins."
While Lynton and Leahey had a convincing hold on the majority of the race, with 10 laps to go Leahey was served a drive through penalty. A lap up on the rest of the field, to the team's relief he was able to stay ahead of the field to bring home the victory.
"We weren't concerned," Lynton said.
"We were a lap up as the Sherrins had to an extra stop for a dash of fuel of whatever. I had discussion with the officals and said I [didn't] understand (the penalty). He said 'I was asking you to slow down'.
"I said 'yeah, but you are asking me to tell Tim to slow down, because the safety car boards are out - it's a race. I don't get him to slow down and then we lose the margin to the car in second who you are not asking to slow down, so put the boards out and we'll slow down'.
"I explained to him the board I saw come out was on the main straight. It actually went out, came back in and went out. I can only see from that pit lane when I'm communicating with Tim, I am looking at Natsoft (and) it's not yellow so it's not a safety car.
"They've taken that on board and they will have that discussion, there's been an apology and it's all good. We still won, but really that's because we were a lap up. Tim did his best time of the race after the drive-through because he wasn't happy."
The MRF Tyres Australian Production Cars now look ahead to round four of its five-round 2019 calendar, set to be held at Sandown International Raceway as part of the Shannons Nationals across September 20-22.
