The facility at 9 Scott Place will offer day care for dogs to help them socialise, including pick-up and drop-off, exercise, playtime, rest and grooming.
The open day, from 10am until 2pm, will also be an opportunity for families to book in to their dogs assessed for their temperament.
All dogs must be assessed before they can be accepted into the service.
There will be coffee and a sausage sizzle available during the open day.
Gym applies to move
HOMEFRONT is looking for a new home, with an application submitted with Orange City Council.
The crossfit venue has been sharing its current Barrett Court premises with Central West Gymnastics, but is eyeing off a move to Lords Place, previously occupied by Davis Removals and Storage.
"Central West Gymnastics will remain at the Barrett Court site, however HomeFront Crossfit seeks to relocate to more central premises and create a modern recreational facility," the application said.
The development application to the council included the crossfit area yoga studio, changerooms, cafe and kitchen.
The proposal is still on public exhibition.
Help for entrepreneurs
Regional Development Australia Central West has launched a guide to help budding business people access the help they need to flourish.
The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem map provides a visual road map for entrepreneurs to better understand, integrate and collaborate by identifying the organisations available to them.
Central West Biz HQ is the go-to for businesses in the Orange and Cabonne local government areas.
Chief executive officer Wayne Sunderland said the organisation provided general and specialist advice through to help with social media and websites.
"A lot of businesses are trying to drought-proof as well, to stop the boom and bust," he said.
RDA Central West chief CEO Sam Harma said the region had an evolving innovation culture.
"Starting a business takes vision and hard work and there are always challenges," he said.
"If we can help by providing a pathway to the right advice and guidance that's a win."
