The Boomers have had one hand on the minor crown virtually all season but had their undefeated run in 2019 halted last week at the hands of a red-hot Peak Hill.
Ahead of Manildra by two wins heading into their second grand final rematch of the season, Trundle scored four tries to none in the shut-out victory at Jack Huxley Oval to ensure they'll finish on top of the Woodbridge Cup ladder and play in the major semi-final.
Despite the other four positions in the top five still up for grabs, Boomers coach Josh Miles is pretty confident Molong and Manildra will occupy the final two places in the top three.

But Grenfell, Peak Hill and Canowindra are duking it out for the final two places in this year's top five, and who ends the season in the elimination semi-final is tough to pick.
"It's tough between all three. Peak Hill going really well but Canowindra's a dangerous side on their day. They've got some large boys in the middle," Miles said.
"I think it'll be a close finish, but it's been like that all season. I think it's been a really close comp. Anyone can push for it in the finals."
Miles says winning the minor title again is a tremendous feat for the small-town club but winning what would be a third straight major crown, on home soil, in September was the main goal.
It was good to obviously win the minor premiership. It's one of the goals we set earlier in the year.

"It was good to obviously win the minor premiership. It's one of the goals we set earlier in the year but still got a bigger goal of winning the real comp," he said.
"We looked good against Manildra. We knew we had to bounce back from last week's loss, individually and as a team."
In other games, Canowindra snuck back into the competition's top five with 42-26 win over Grenfell at Tom Clyburn Oval.
Peak Hill's winning run was halted by Molong on Sunday, with the Bulls jagging an 18-all draw against the Roosters on the road while Cargo got back in the winners' circle with a 42-26 victory over Condobolin. The luckless Eugowra enjoyed a week's respite with a round 16 bye.
In a keenly contested league tag competition, Cargo continues to firm as a big chance for back-to-back crowns with a 20-16 victory over the Rams.
Another contender, Manildra won 20-0 over Trundle while Molong and Grenfell also picked up wins heading into the penultimate round.
In youth league, Trundle upset premiers Manildra 28-16 while Grenfell defeated Molong Bulls 26-20. Cargo had the bye.
