Orange Emus founder Don Strachan said that back in 2017 about his club's Blowes Clothing Cup backline, and with the Westfund Ferguson Cup finals looming greens stalwart Amanda Ferguson all but echoed his sentiments in regards to her outfit.
While she was loathe to take credit away from her grinding forward pack, Ferguson admitted her club's women's side "has probably never" boasted a backline of the calibre it has in 2019, this year's led by ACT Brumbies Super W stars Em McDonald and Jacky Lyden.
The last time I remember a backline anywhere near as strong as this one was very early in the piece.

Not in a long time, at the very least.
"You know, I think it might be (the best). If it's not it's very, very close," Ferguson said.
"We've had some incredible individual players over the years like Liv Patterson, who scored six tries in our 2016 grand final win, but the last time I remember a backline anywhere near as strong as this one was very early in the piece, in terms of the women's competition.
"There was one year we had players like Alana Thomas, who obviously ended up playing for the Wallaroos, Kaila Fry was a NSW Country player and then there was players like Nikki Williamson too, that backline was pretty slick."
Along with McDonald and Lyden, the likes of Nikki D'Aquino, Milika and Tabua Tuinakauvadra, Sarah Archer, Stacey Britt, Tara Reay and Lailee Phillips have combined to mesmerise countless defensive lines, and lead their side to the minor premiership.
"They've all been excellent, obviously, but so many other girls have played in that backline and done an amazing job too. Like Don said of the men a few years ago too it's not just the players that start, our finishers are at the same standard and that makes a huge difference," Ferguson said.
"It's been really great to see their development and I think it's tough not to highlight the combination Em and Nikki have developed in the halves. Obviously the forwards give them clean enough ball to do that so they deserve credit too, but it's pretty good to watch when they get going."

Such high praise, particularly coming from pretty much the only one qualified enough to give it, begs the obvious question - is Ferguson worried the GOAT, greatest-of-all-time, tag might add more pressure?
"I don't think it adds more pressure because I think it's quite well-known our backs are a real strength, and I think the girls will thrive under pressure in the finals anyway," she said.
"We've won the minor premiership so we know everyone's coming for us now but we're very aware any side from the top eight can win it, so it's not going to be easy and we'll need to be on our game every week."
That starts on Saturday against Temora in the first qualifying final at Molong's Dr Ross Memorial Recreation Ground, the Tuskers finished fourth, in a sign of just how competitive the 2019 finals are set to be, they were just four points adrift of the greens.
"We didn't actually play Temora during the regular season so they are a bit of an unknown really," Ferguson said.
"They're obviously a really strong side and they've got some great individual players like Nikki (Jordan) and Amie (Fazekas), so we'll have to be switched on."
Emus face Temora from 2pm, directly before Molong's Oilsplus Cup Northern Division preliminary final against Geurie.
In the other qualifying final West Wyalong plays Bathurst Bulldogs, from 1pm, and in the elimination finals CSU Bathurst play Mudgee from 12pm and Forbes take on Narromine from 11am.
All the women's games are at Molong.
