Workies took the defending premiers scalp by way of a 16-6 victory to not only extend their stunning winning streak to seven games but also hand Panthers just their second defeat of the 2019 season, one that's cost them the competition lead.

With Mudgee hammering Bathurst St Pat's on Sunday too Workies don't actually make up any ground on the third-placed Dragons on the table, but the victory in itself will be another massive confidence boost for the Graeme Osborne-coached side, and proves they are the real deal.
Workies claimed the upset victory on the back of Greg Alderson, Cody Godden and Jack Sullivan tries, they'll now head to Wade Park next weekend to face the new competition leaders in Orange Hawks with a mountain of momentum.
