I am writing to voice my concern about the fate of the row of 25 mature, high conservation value Viminalis and Bridgesiana Eucalypts growing along the east side of Forest Road, along the front of the Hinton Reserve, and the two mature Viminalis Eucalypts beside the bridge over Brandy Creek, also on that side of the road.

With the proposed widening of Forest Road and the walking-cycle track along this picturesque strip of road, these trees will be squeezed between both. It would be environmental vandalism to cut these trees down, as they are very valuable to wildlife, the endangered Superb Parrot the perfect example.
Also the walking-cycle track is well used as it is, and people enjoy walking under the shade of these magnificent trees.
It would totally spoil the ambiance of a walk or cycle along there.
Who wants to walk along a barren, shadeless stretch of road?
So I would request that all these trees be preserved and Orange City Council doesn't go down in history for the destruction of them
