Tom Green's first-half hat-trick set the foundation for Orange Emus' massive Blowes Clothing Cup win over Orange City on Saturday afternoon, the defending premiers handing the Lions a season-ending, 55-point hammering in the final-round local derby.

The former NSW Country winger crossed for three of the greens' six first-half tries as they went into the half-time break leading 38-7, putting the young Lions to the sword in the second half with half a dozen more five-pointers to ultimately win 76-12.
For Emus the victory was little more than a confidence boost before their trip to Bathurst to face the minor premiership-winning Bulldogs in a fortnight, while the defeat ended the Lions' tough, winless 2019 campaign on a gutting note.
It was nice to get my hands on it nice and early a bit and be able to score a few.
- Emus winger Tom Green
Green came from the field in the second half with what appeared to be a hamstring strain - although that, and the severity, remains unconfirmed - and that did leave him somewhat concerned after the victory, but he was still overwhelming positive from both a team and individual perspective.
In Emus' recent dominance Green's made a career of terrorising his rivals from the wing and is a noted finisher but in 2019 he's been, comparatively, starved of the ball and with his treble included he's actually only scored seven tries this year.
That's a far cry from previous years, for instance in 2014 he was the competition's leading try-scorer with 18.
"It has been a bit different, I definitely haven't got as much ball as I have in the past so I haven't had as many opportunities, in that respect it was nice to get my hands on it nice and early a bit and be able to score a few," Green said.
"We've scored a lot of our tries this year through the middle and with a great centre pairing in Lachie (Harris) and Tommy (Joseph) sometimes the ball doesn't get out to the wing. It's different but it's still really good, it doesn't matter who's scoring the tries because we've been going really well and winning games, that's the main thing.

"We've got the general bye now which gives everyone a chance to rest up a bit before the major semi-final, and that win was a pretty good way to finish the regular season."
Harris scored a double for Emus as did fullback and skipper Nigel Staniforth, while Charlie Henley, Joseph, Nas Havealeta, Michael Graham and Scott McLean found the stripe as well, with Staniforth nailing eight of his shots at goal.
One of Harris' tries was probably the focal point of the clash, and it gave a fair indication of how well the ball bounced for the greens on Saturday.
He was set to take a crash ball from a lineout about 15 out from his own line but TJ Cunyghame's pass was low, Harris throwing his right boot at it and sending it upfield.
Landing on halfway, the unexpected kick bounced awfully for Orange City fullback Barton Young, who could nothing but watch it fall perfectly into the chasing Harris' hands, Emus' centre went 50 metres untouched to cross under the sticks.

"Some things like that didn't go our way, for sure, and it was definitely a disappointing result for us. Conceding 70-odd points in a last-round derby is the last way you want to finish a season but credit where it's due, Emus are a really good rugby side and they played outstandingly again [on Saturday]," Orange City coach Viv Paasi said.
Fletcher Rose, Harry Taberner and Keegan Harding crossed for the Lions and all three, along with halfback Tom Nell, were strong in the beaten side.
