Luke Skelton scored a brace and Caiden Redden found the back of the net for Wanderers too as they shocked the defending premiers at Orange Hockey Centre, with Nic Milne, Jake Lewis and Greg Nelson scoring for Panthers in the 3-all deadlock.

In fact Wanderers' results against Panthers alone are a fair indication of their improvement so far in the four-team 2019 competition, they were hammered 10-nil in round one after Brandon Horner slotted six goals on his own, before largely keeping pace in a tight defeat the last time around.
In Saturday's other men's game Parkes United picked up their third win of the season with an incredible, upset 5-1 demolition of Bathurst St Pat's.
- ORANGE WANDERERS 3 (Luke Skelton 2, Caiden Redden) drew with LITHGOW PANTHERS 3 (Nic Milne, Jake Lewis, Greg Nelson)
