Central West Injured Workers Support Network chairman Joe Maric said the review followed an independent audit and was being conducted in regional cities across NSW.
Mr Maric said Wednesday's visit was to meet with representatives from the injured workers support network to discuss the performance of EML, the agent through which claims have been made with since January 1, 2018.
He sad the SIRA representatives also met with five injured workers, including himself, to discuss their specific cases and problems they've had with their insurance claims as well as recommendations for resolving those issues.
"So far there's a number of issues and systems that need to change, it's not working," Mr Maric said.
"They will also be doing reviews with employers."
Mr Maric said SIRA would publish its findings and recommendations but changes would still need to be passed by state government.
