The club recently held its changeover dinner at the Greenhouse of Orange where the total was revealed at $35,000.
Outgoing president Clivia Frieden said support went to the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal, Legacy and Rotary Health, in addition to international programs through the Rotary Foundation.
"The most significant local donations have gone to the Smith Family's Learning for Life Program which allows us to support 17 local school students, the domestic violence crisis centre, the Orange Regional Suicide Prevention Network and FoodCare Orange," she said.
Ms Frieden said within Orange, the club tried to create lasting change and unite the community and members had dedicated hundreds of volunteer hours to the Banjo Paterson Australian Poetry Festival, the Great Volcanic Mountain Challenge and Sustainable Living Week.
The club also ran four markets at the Moulder Park netball courts and Emmaville Cottage - one during the poetry festival and one each for spring, Christmas and autumn.
The markets will move to the Northcourt from October.
"Our Club's involvement with the Canobolas Rural Technology High School, supporting their student leadership team and their hospitality students, and providing learning resources to the Glenroi Heights Public School is a pleasure every year," Ms Frieden said.
"This year we were also fortunate to be able to assist two year 12 students from Molong High School to attend the National Youth Science Forum in Brisbane and Canberra respectively."
Each year the club inaugurates its new board and coming agenda of programs while farewelling and thanking the previous board for its dedication and service.
Ms Frieden thanked the members for hundreds of volunteer hours and handed over the presidency to Ed Zarnow, who said he was confident and excited the club could achieve more great things for the community in the coming year.
Membership to the Rotary Club of Orange is open to all and always looking for community-minded people dedicated to their vision of "service above self".
