A witness observed two large dogs attacking the animals on a property at Belgravia Road at around 6am.
One of the dogs was found and destroyed by the property owners in the attack which left another 30 sheep injured.
Officers from the Rural Crime Prevention Team put a call out calling for information on the dogs' owner early on Tuesday.
That morning, the owner of the sheep informed police that the dogs' owner had been identified.

A police spokesperson advised that the second dog involved had been euthanised and both parties had come to a civil agreement in respect to the costs of the animals killed.
NSW Police State Rural Crime Detective Sergeant Andrew McLean said it appeared to be an isolated incident as there had not been recent reports of dog attacks in the area.
Detective Sergeant McLean said it was important for dog owners to be aware of the Companion Animals Act which governed the control of these animals.
"It is a criminal offense when animals attack stock so they need to be aware of their responsibilities to make sure these dogs are secured.
Police advised no further action would be taken on this matter.
