Here/Now is Orange Regional Gallery's annual community exhibition, open to all amateur and professional artists across the central west over the age of 16.
It offers a space in our exhibition program in which all visual artists in our community can participate. The result is a celebration of the extraordinary creativity in our region.
After an open invitation to all artists to submit up to three artworks, this year we received our highest number of entries with over 380 artworks from 184 artists.
We guaranteed we would exhibit at least one artwork by each person and we've done it.
We've also hung over 100 more artworks than we did last year. Included are paintings, drawings, sculpture, ceramics and photography and other interesting things which don't quite fit into any category, but we love them all the same.
An installation of this scale is a mammoth task, and I'd like to thank our installation team-led by Claire Buchanan-for their steady approach and attention to detail as they arranged and then hung each work.
The exhibition is open and runs until Sunday July 28. Entry to Orange Regional Gallery is always free.
