Publicity officer Jolanta Nejman said there was no set exhibition this Saturday, instead, members of the public will be able to take a look into each of the studios featuring everything from glass works, pottery and even films and poetry.

"We're opening the studios to show how artists create," she said.

Ms Nejman said visiting artist Iku Fujisawa had explored the world of calligraphy.

"She has transformed calligraphy into shadow work by integrating how shadows can be like calligraphy," she said.

Meanwhile, John Dory and Phil Salmon have teamed up to make short films, taking a satirical look at long film credits.

"Black humour is probably the best way to describe it, it's a great little short," Ms Nejman said.

The open day will be held at Colour City Creatives' headquarters at 2B Peisley Street from 10am-4pm.
