Cargo raced to an early 16-4 lead over the hosts before eventually failing to score another point, Molong hitting back late in the first half with a couple of crucial tries before completing the resounding win with three more four-pointers in the second stanza.
Molong leaps into second place on the back of a sudden dip in form from the normally consistent Manildra Rhinos, the red and whites suffering back-to-back losses after a heavy 34-4 loss against Grenfell.
Peak Hill continues on its winning ways, getting the better of a vastly improved Condobolin Rams 36-26 while Trundle picked up a 100-4 victory over a spirited-but-outgunned Eugowra on Sunday.
Three weeks ago Manildra shaped as the only real challenger to Trundle's quest for the minor premiership, but the Rhinos' slide means the Boomers now sit six points clear on top of the ladder.
At the other end of the top five Canowindra sits in fifth narrowly ahead of the sixth-placed Roosters on differential.
