The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting snow to begin falling in the early hours of Saturday morning, around the Jenolan Caves and Mount Canobolas areas.
The forecast is grimmer from around 7am, with snow predicted around the 850 metres elevation, which should see Orange enjoy another small dusting for 2019.
Monday's mercury peaked at 9 degrees celcius in Orange but that's expected to gradually decline as the working week progresses, with Saturday's maximum temperature to top out at 5 degrees. The minimum for Saturday will be around 0 degrees, with the minimum on Sunday to plummet to negative-3 degrees.
By 10am, the snow is forecast to fall in and around Orange and Blayney, before it eases up in the afternoon.
This week is generally set to be a wet one as well, following on from Monday's rain with up to 20mm recorded in parts of Orange.
There's more showers predicted for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the lead-up to Saturday's forecast of snow.
