When Alex Pilcher got married 18 months ago, she found it difficult to source furniture and other decor items she liked.
As a result, she started an events arm under The White Place's brand.
"We saw there was a market there," she said.
Not longer after, she and Heifer Station's Michelle Stivens began talking about teaming up.
Mrs Stivens said it opened the cellar door to weddings while allowing the business to continue focusing on its wine operations.
"We've got the venue, she's got the props," she said.
Inquiries for weddings in 2020 can be made through The White Place.
Name change
THE Sportsmans Warehouse has changed its name to Intersport in keeping with a nationwide shift.
The Orange store was one of six franchise-owned locations to make the switch amid an evolving retail market with competition from the chain's suppliers.

The store will continue under the same ownership with no planned workforce changes and gift cards will continue to be honoured within three years of purchase.
Store manager and franchise owner Shane Cantrill said he was excited about the change.
"The Intersport network will provide us with access to more brands, better range and give us the ability to remain a leader in the retail market," he said.
Taking a break
THE three businesses at The Collective in Lords Place will be closed until later this week for a combination of holidays and renovations.
Belle Armoire will re-open on Thursday after renovations, while Good Eddy will open on July 16 and Botanica Flora on July 23.
Award success
IT brought home a gong from the Orange Business Awards, but Macquarie Medispa is also proving itself within the industry.
The business has been nominated for four categories at the Australian Beauty Industry Awards: best salon team, best customer care, best salon training and best spa director.
The awards will be held at The Star in Sydney on August 25 following the beauty expo.
Manager Taylor Fenton said the staff loved what they did and were always adding to their training.
"To gain our success its having a team that thrives together but [director] Karla [McDiarmid's] passion, dedication and determination is what makes this all possible," she said.
