Rebecca Chee, who is the head of Mu Pictures, toured the old Eurrowanbang Woolshed, Carcoar, Millthorpe, the Amusu Theatre in Manildra, the Old Convent in Borenore and the Yallungah mansion heritage section of the Byng Street Hotel with Silver Compass Tours, who also organised the visit from influencers in May.
She now plans to return to the region in August with a delegation of six senior officials from the Chinese government's China Film Corporation as well as the Beijing Film Production Co. to introduce them to Orange as a potential location for the film.
Mrs Chee will also be hosting a filmmaking workshop for Chinese filmmakers in December and she now hopes to host the workshop in Orange with a focus on the Amusu Theatre in Manildra in the itinerary.
"It's the perfect place to bring my Chinese filmmakers and connect them to Australia's filmmaking and movie theatre heritage. It's a great example of how much we have in common," she said.
