Cotehele, the Magistrates house, was built in 1878 for magistrate John Lane, complete with marble fireplaces, servants quarters and stables.
The Anson Street property has become a bed and breakfast and Airbnb property with seven bedrooms for guests.

The current owner, Marie Eedy, is retiring and the property is for sale with offers accepted between $1.5-1.65 million.
One Agency Orange real estate licensee Ash Brown said the property would either be sold as a business or be converted back to a residence.

He said he would expect people buying it as a business would pay more as they would be purchasing the goodwill as well as the property.
Mr Brown said half of the buyer interest had come from people living in Sydney.
"We had a Sydney guy stay here for the night. It was part of his inspection to stay here for a night. Try before you buy," he said.
There are marble fireplaces in most bedrooms and with 12-foot ceilings it presents as a piece of history.
Mr Brown said the stables had been made out of timber slabs which could still be seen.
The stables and the servants quarters have been converted into accommodation.
He said the property's central location was a big selling point.
"The big one for this is property is it's position and it's still retaining its period features," he said.
"I don't think you could get much closer to the CBD for a residential home.

"It's got a lot of history. If these walls could talk. It is where he would have had dignitaries and government officials of the day stay," he said.
Cotehele last sold for $950,000 in 2003.
It is on a 1220 square metre block that looks to Matthews Park at the front and backs onto Orange Public School.
They include the historic Mena on Kite Street which was built in 1875 and is for sale at about $2.3-$2.4 million.
Mr Brown, who is also handling that property, said Mena was a bigger house on a bigger block.
