It was the fifth year singer Gabe Middleton has hosted a concert for her students to perform at, so they could boost their confidence and showcase their abilities and talent to family and friends.
About 60 or 70 people attended the concert and Miss Middleton said the performers ranged in age from nine to 69.
"Friends and family can see their progress and what it does for them," she said.
Among the singers were students from Anson Street School, James Sheahan Catholic High School and Kinross Wolaroi School.
Miss Middleton said the theme was music from popular music, television and musical theatre for the winter concert, which was held upstairs at the Royal Hotel.
"It gives the kids the feeling of a gig, of a show," Miss Middleton said.
"You've got to put them into a music venue."
Miss Middleton the concert gave the students a chance to perform what they have learnt and to enhance their experience of singing in front of an audience, which was particularly important for students who also audition for other productions such as musicals.
"A lot of them are doing stuff outside of what we do [at the school of rock] and that's a big deal."
