The rampant navy and lime bibs, who boast the best attacking and defensive records to boot, take on second-placed Orange City Craig Harvey Mechanical in this weekend's eighth round, the last before the competition's three-week break.
The Lions jumped back into the top two thanks to last weekend's nine-goal win over Life Studio Sportspower, coupled with would-be title contenders OHS Hornets' shock loss to Life Studio Mid West Eyes.
The top two sides have met once already this year in round one, with Life Studio taking down the defending premiers quite comfortably in that clash, winning 49-34.
While the Lions have, at times, battled for consistency since Life Studio haven't been touched.
The closest any side's come to knocking them off was, in fact, the very next week and even then Life won by 12 goals, taking down the Hornets 40-28.
In the five games after that Life Studio have won by 23, 27, 50, 13 and 21 goals to completely dominate their way to the a four-point buffer at the top of the table.
The top-of-the-table clash starts at 3.50pm, following Orange City Epiroc's clash with Mid West Eyes (1.10pm), the Hornets' game against Sportspower (2.30pm) and Royal Hawks' clash with Orange Physiotherapy Vipers (2.30pm).
