The youth centre in Garema Road, would be open between 11am and 5pm from July 8 to July 19.
Mayor Reg Kidd said there were many activities for children in Orange during the school holidays but some activities could be out of the price range for some families.
"So to make sure all kids have the opportunity to relieve that school holiday boredom, in constructive ways, Orange City Council's youth development team has worked hard to come up with a range of activities for all students," Cr Kidd said.
Council's services policy committee chairman Stephen Nugent said many of the activities were possible due to a donation from Newcrest Mining Cadia Valley Operations.
