In the wake of yet another torched vehicle, Central West Police District Detective Inspector Bruce Grassick announced police were closing in on the criminals.
Inspector Grassick said there was no initial indication that the sedan found ablaze near Gosling Creek Reserve at around 5.40am on Thursday had been stolen, but crime scene investigators had attended the scene on Bargwanna Road.

Inspector Grassick said a regional response to the ongoing issue had brought police closer to making significant arrests of those responsible.
"My team have uncovered certain suspicious personal involved in this matter and I anticipate in the next couple of weeks there will be arrests," he said.
Inspector Grassick said police had done "a lot of work behind the scenes" on the spate of car thefts and fires, which involved collaboration with the Regional Enforcement Squad and officers who have come to the area to assist.

Inspector Grassick said police had put "a dent" in the frequency of the crimes recently which could be related to the arrest of individuals for seemingly unrelated matters.
"We have made arrests in some matters which are not connected to the fires but we believe they may have been involved in the fires themselves," he said.
Inspector Grassick said police had received a lot of information through two separate operations in Glenroi which involved "extra deployment to the area ... in an intelligence gathering operation".
"We are seeing some results, which is very encouraging," he said.
NSW Rural Fire Service personnel attended the scene of Thursday's torching after receiving the call out in the early hours.
The Spring Hill brigade extinguished the flames on Bargwanna Road in around 40 minutes.
Inspector Grassick said police would continue to look into the matter.
"We've currently got an investigation team that has been looking at these fires over the last few months. I can say that the fire overnight is still under investigation," Inspector Grassick said.
Officers have appealed for members of the public with information to call the Orange Police Station 6363 6399.
