Year six teacher and Jump Rope coordinator Ashleigh Allwood said taking part in Jump Rope for Heart puts the focus on keeping kids holistically healthy, with a special focus on heart health.
"It's about awareness on how they can maintain their health and be part of a common initiative," she said.
The students raised more than $25,000 for the Heart Foundation last year and have set themselves a $20,000 target this year.
Last year's top fundraiser at Orange Public, Cian Gollner, raised more money than any student in Australia.
Cian was treated for a rare form of cancer and had open heart surgery a year-and-a-half-ago.
The little Aussie battler raised more than $6000 in 2018.
