The Orange Mountain Bike Club hosted its first cyclocross event, a combination of road and mountain bike racing with a big following in Europe and the US.
Riders of all ages had the chance to race across a range of courses, tackling both the velodrome and the tracks around Moulder Park.
Event organiser Kirk Brown said the rides include hill climbs, obstacles and even embankments which involve dismounting the bike.
"The idea is to get families outside and having a bit of fun on a Sunday morning," he said.
Courses include an under 7-year-old balance-bike race, an under 13-year-old race and two adult races.
Mr Brown said while it is a club event, the public can sign up to a free eight-week "come and try licence" to take part in the next Orange Cyclocross day on July 28.
He said Matthew Fieldus was the stand out competitor for the day.
