A man has been charged after 20 firearms were seized from a home at Clandulla in the Central Tablelands region. He was seen in court on Thursday and had bail refused.

Police attached to Operation Armour attended the Ferris Street address about 10am on Wednesday, June 19.
They served the man, aged 68, with a Firearms Prohibition Order and a Weapons Prohibition Order before searching the premises.

Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District seized 20 firearms, prohibited items and ammunition.
The man was taken to Mudgee Police Station where he was charged with a large amount of offences, including possessing unauthorised and unregistered firearms and pistols, not keeping firearms and pistols safe, aggravated possession, possessing firearm barrels, ammunition, stolen firearms, prohibited weapons and fireworks.
Operation Armour was launched on Tuesday June 4 and will be conducted in rural areas across the state in all Police Districts. General duties officers will be assisted by specialist police from the Firearms Registry, Rural Crime Prevention Team, the Drug and Firearms Squad, and the Criminal Groups Squad's Strike Force Raptor throughout the operation.
The operation will focus on preventing, disrupting and reducing firearm thefts. Firearms Prohibition Orders and Weapons Prohibition Orders will be conducted, as well as safe storage inspections.
