The petrol station has been closed in recent weeks pending renovations, with a development application pending for a kebab shop between the store and the mechanic building.
Owner Kekin Patel hoped to have the kebab shop established in the next month.
"In winter it's really cold and the KFC gets really hectic so we thought it was something we could add," he said.

Mr Patel said there had been leaks in a number of the fuel bowsers and the store was in a 1990s style.
All the bowsers will be replaced, with a complete facelift to the store.
About a week remains for the renovations, with reopening expected in the next two weeks.
Mr Patel said the business currently traded from 5am until midnight but hoped to extend to 24 hours.
Open at last
IT'S been operating for a few weeks, but the Oriana's dining room has now been officially launched.
Owners Ted Marr and Espen Harbitz completed the Peacock Room recently with the arrival of plush velvet chairs, with the restaurant open to the general public, as well as guests.
It completed renovations to the 49 rooms, the Bella Vista Bar and the remainder of the motel, returning it to its mid-20th Century charm with a modern twist.
The former head chef at the Melbourne Wine Room and the Village Larder Café in Victoria, Marika Oost has moved to Orange to create the European-style menu.
The Peacock Room is open Tuesday to Saturday.
