Police officers commenced the high-speed pursuit after attempting to stop the driver of the vehicle for a random breath test on Lone Pine Avenue at about 11.40pm.
The driver of the Astra failed to comply and sped down Lone Pine Avenue towards Dairy Creek Road.
Police chased the dark-coloured vehicle down Bloomfield Road and on to Forest Road and out towards Orange hospital.
Two police vehicles then joined the pursuit that continued down Huntley Road, on to Peisley and then William streets, back to Bathurst Road, down Summer, Edward, Moulder and McLachlan streets, before the chase was terminated.

Central West Police District Inspector Shane Jessep said the Astra, described as silver, grey or charcoal, reached speeds of 120-kilometres-per-hour in the 80km zone and 100kms in the 50km zone.
Inspector Jessep said police were forced to call off the pursuit due to safety concerns and it was fortunate nobody was hurt.
He said the driver was believed to be alone in the vehicle and an investigation had commenced into the incident.
Chief Inspector Scott Rayner said the decision to stop following dangerous drivers is not made when they reach a certain speed, several factors are taken into account.
Inspector Rayner said the safety of police, the driver, the community and the risk to property, are all important factors.
He said the framework was introduced a number of years ago and police are expected to abide by it.
"We urge people to obey the road rules and any requirement or instructions to stop by police," he said. "If they are pulled over we ask that they consider the danger to themselves and to others."
Inspector Rayner said attempting to evade police was dealt with severely by the courts.
The Central West Police District has appealed for anyone with information to contact Orange Police Station on 6363 6399.
