Megan Woods of Megan Claire Floral Designs has moved away from stocking cut flowers at the Agrestic Grocer in favour of indoor plants.
"In all seriousness, cut flowers are a luxury item and you get seven to 10 days out of them, whereas plants are something the consumer can have for a lot longer," she said.

"They grow rather than die."
Flowers will not completely disappear, however - Mrs Woods will keep making flower arrangements for weddings and events.
Closed for renos
ALDI'S Orange store is now closed for renovations, but diehard customers only have 10 days to wait.
The store will reopen on Friday, June 21 with a fresh new look, including better product displays, improved navigation and modern styling.
The improvements will be implemented following extensive store trials and similar rollouts in South and Western Australia.
Features will include redesigned shelving, expanded wooden produce bays, as well as extended energy efficient chillers.
The store will continue to employ up to 20 permanent full- and part-time employees.
Online treasures
SHE sold Worldly Treasures in Summer Street almost a year ago, but Giuliana Ryan still has the retail bug.
Mrs Ryan said she had accumulated a large amount of crystals, jewellery and artefacts from her travels overseas and started selling it last month via social media under the name Jewels of Wellness.
"I thought it was time to start selling it - I've got a lot, it's enough for an entire shop," she said.
"It's been really lovely, I've reconnected with my old customers."
Giving back
WESTPAC'S Orange branch has passed the $600 mark as the manager prepares to shave his beard in the name of fighting breast cancer.
The Summer Street branch dressed up on Friday and put out collection boxes for customers to contribute.
Personal banker Sacha Ervine said they had been generous so far.
"It's been a great help," she said.
Branch manager Dom Porter will die his beard pink this week before shaving it off on Friday for the cause.
Ms Ervine said a staff member in one of the other branches was going through a breast cancer battle at the moment and staff wanted to support her.
